That their association isn't that close - apparently just an occasional exchange of informations and maybe the agreement not to strike at each other - since according to Graendal's PoV in TGS, prologue, Aran'gar doesn't even know where Graendal's lair is (contrary to Sammael, for example).

If more is revealed about Graendal's and Aran'gar's dealings, it makes more sense that this information will come from an Aran'gar PoV for the reasons I pointed out above.


But her death is a couple of months later ... there's a lot of activity happening all around her home base prior to the Balefiring of her palace... there is plenty of opportunity for us to see what was going on around her POV or not...


There are around 37 days between Graendal's PoV in the prologue and her death. That means only a few weeks, not a couple of months. Besides, Graendal wouldn't gain anything by telling Aran'gar where her lair is, but lose an advantage.
