I started a reread of the series in November, wanting to refresh the plot in my mind before progressing to TGS. I forgot how much these middle books drag though I am finishing up LoC right now, which was actually an easier read than TFoH, which really took a lot for me to get through. At that point though, I didn't have TGS yet...now I do, and I'm itching to read it. And I seem to remember from my first time reading the series that things do pick up again at some point.
If you still want to refresh the plot, then I'd say to skip to KoD. A better idea would be to skip to tGS, because you won't want to wait for it.
Thank you! And I really don't want to wait. I've heard such good things about it and I'm dying to read it!
If you are from Betelgeuse, please have one of your Earth friends read what I've written before you respond. Or try concentrating harder.

At least read the plot summaries and KoD first, to make sure you're up to date. *NM*

I've read KoD twice (when it came out and then a year or so later)
