Improbable or not, RJ shows us that 13 women make a gateway 100 paces wide by 10 paces tall. More than 50 times as big as Rand's.
THAT's the evidence.
Now, you might choose to believe that each of the 13 women in the circle have a special gateway talent that allows her - on her own - to make a gateway 4 times as big as Rand can make - resulting in the circle reaching a cumulative gateway size 50 times greater than Rand's. That's your prerogative.
I, leave it to others to decide the reasonability of such a train of thought.
To me, the evidence is clear. Multiple channelers can make MUCH larger gateways than their cumulative strengths can account for.

There are examples in the series which suggest that linking makes women stronger, or provides a large advantage...
- The two Black ajah link to challenge Nynaeve instead of shielding her individually.
- Rahvin assumes that Lanfear and Graendal would link if he tried anything.
- Niande asks Cadsuane if they should link when Fain attacks them.
- Verin links with her friends to take on Graendal.
- Elayne and her friends link when Taim comes to see them.
The BWB has a lot on linking. There's the analogy that a precision strike can shatter an object that deflect any number of blows from a hammer. That's probably why women link when they face a great threat - the focussed weave is much more powerful than their separate individual efforts.

That's nonsense. Nothing says other weaves are not similarly enhanced.
