Several questions Werthead Send a noteboard - 31/12/2009 05:38:09 PM
Just an F.Y.I.. I've been working the past week on modifying Rome Total War for the Wheel of Time. I know there was some interest in this modification several years ago, but that died when the modders quit/gave up.

I've got the map and regions done. I'm now working on changing names from roman/egyptian/barbarian names to Wheel of time names. If I ever get it all done, I'll post again and make it available for download for those who are interested.

Who else is on your team? If you're doing this by yourself, then good luck and I look forward to playing the mod in six or seven years time

Are you a skinner/3D modeller?

Does this new project have its own messageboard on one of the TOTAL WAR forums like TW Center, which you'll need to drum up interest and get some additional personnel on board?

Why are you using ROME when MEDIEVAL II has more options for modding and medieval units are already present in the game (meaning less work to start off with) when you have to change 100% of the content of ROME from scratch and simply can't do certain things (like custom cities to look like they are in the books, which is impossible in ROME but - theoretically - possible in MED II?) at all?

I'm part of a team that's been working on WESTEROS: TOTAL WAR for the past several years, and it took half a dozen people two years just to get the beta release out (link below), and that's with considerably less work than a WHEEL OF TIME mod would need (only nine factions to WHEEL OF TIMES 16-17, for example).
