Lets say 3am, some would call it early morning, others last night. Working night shift, the distinction really blurs.
Why would Egwene think of the same event as two different times of day? She was rescued after the Seanchan attack sometime later in the evening/night, and she would have had to wait until the exhaustion wore off before she could channel again (let alone the Forkroot), so 3am does make sense, as a time.
I am still unsure why she would think of it as "earlier that morning" at one point, and "last night" at another. A person doesn't generally change their internal narrative of their recent past... I think. It just doesn't click for me.

If she were maneuvering I would expect some internal monologue about it.
