He got his powers as gifts from the DO after all. And just because Slayer didn't manage to kill Perrin (who was still needed for the plot), doesn't mean that Slayer isn't a deadly top assassin, who successfully killed Asmo. After all, the Forsaken also didn't manage to kill a ta'veren for obvious plot reasons.
Since he's been around what 20-25ish years ... what was Isam up to during that timeframe, and was Luc already a Darkfriend? We know that Luc probably killed Janduin, but was he already Slayer at that time?
