Damn colonists never could refer to wars properly. For some reason the War of the Austrian Succession was called "King George's War" (a terrible name, since it could equally apply to the Seven Years War or the War of Independence), and the War of the Spanish Succession was "Queen Anne's War", as though she started it, and the War of the Grand Alliance was "King William's War". It's almost like the colonists were ignorant of what was going on in the world and...oh, never mind. I don't think much has changed in the intervening 250 years or so.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
