No, it makes her 25% as strong as Rand! Thanks for proving my model to be virtually perfect! Shannow Send a noteboard - 23/12/2009 06:36:53 PM
We've seen Sisters as weak as Verin and Alanna able to Travel, and Beonin makes a HUGE Gateway in KoD (2 paces by 2 paces... that makes her half as strong as Rand according to your theory) ... yet we know she's not even as strong as Moiraine... the only time we've seen a channeler say anything about someone being stronger because of a larger Gateway was Logain and he could also feel how much saidin Rand was drawing and they were at least drawing the same power. Trying to equate the size of a weave in saidar v. saidin is completely impossible. And who knows, maybe Aviendha's alternative weave will make it easier for a woman to Travel... then how do you make the determination?

Rand makes a gateway 12 feet by 12. Beonin makes a gateway 6 feet by 6.

12 x 12 = 144 square feet.
6x6=36 square feet.
36/144 = EXACTLY 25%.

Judged by gateway size, Beonin is EXACTLY 25% as strong as Rand. How's that for my model being right on the mark with its estimate for an Aes Sedai?
