Has anyone asked BS/RJ WHY Callandor lacks the safety buffer? According to The Guide LTT used this sword as a weapon against Shadow. According to some earlier WoT books the 'urban myth' among some knowledgable Aes Sedai was that it wasn't finished. This sounds a bit..... vague. If they manage to finish the Choedan Kal at the end of the war of the shadow, surely they would have been able to finish Callandor before during earlier stages of the war??
Please dont reply with: But maybe it was almost finished and then dreadlords attacked and disrupted the final tuning process etc or some other BS (BS doesn't mean Brandon Sanderson here btw ) Do we have any real clues? Is it missing a piece or something? Ring of the Tamyrlin?? ( sorry, that last one was really lame)

Another question about manufacturing angreal etc... I have been wondering why the forsaken don't make their own. Sure it could be a Talent thing, but I'd expect it to have shown itself in one of the wonder girls by now or some random Asha'man.
Could it be that men and women have to link to make them? Would explain why it hasn't been done for 3k-4k years and WHY THE FORSAKEN HAVEN'T MANUFACTURED NEW ONES ( put that in capitals so we wont get answers like: 'But travelling was forgotten so why not the making of angreal??' etc etc).
Guess even female forsaken are reluctant to link but to my understanding the same contraints are not imposed on two women linking as to a man and woman regarding who's in charge. Remember that Sammael and Graendal had a discussion concerning linking to defeat Rand and Sammael didn't like that idea. Hence no linking male - female forsaken no angreals.
Or maybe 'standing flows' are needed? Exposing power wrought objects to the one power in a certain way (attuning them to frequencies being able to amplify the OP flows) for such a long time that channelers would tire themselves out if they tried to do it 'manually'?
Who knows... well... hope BS does

It's always strange to me how despite mass production of angreal and sa'angreal no Forsaken had one

How funny is it that they're mass-producing crystalline swords and humanoid statuettes?

Since they were mass produced, I reckon each Forsaken probably had a personal sa'angreal...

If sa'angreal were massproduced, it is a wonder that the world wasn't destroyed during the WoP, IMO
