I think if you're channeling a Power-either or-that the body can only handle one Power-type at a time.
Of course, I could be wrong...
Of course, I could be wrong...
In the case of OP and TP, we haven't seen any proof. In the case of saidin and saidar, we have seen it, and proves it can be done.
Yes, but we've known that you can channel both halves of the One Power forever. It was mentioned in the guide, and multiple times in the early books. Though, likely, while you are able to channel both saidin and saidar simultaneously, it takes a level of skill and dexterity that damn few people actually have.
We know that the two halves require different weaving techniques, even require different mindsets to handle. Saidar requires that you submit to control, saidin requires that you battle it into submission. Having the skill to submit and battle at the same time while weaving the two different powers using their particular methods....
Honestly, I doubt anyone could do that. We saw Rand channel one, then channel the other, pausing and switching between them.
Actually, he was doing both:
Only an instant since he had tried to control saidar, and already he felt as if he was drowing in it, being swept away into eternity. Nynaeve had warned him what he must do, but it seemed so foreign he had not truly believed until now. With an effort, he forced himself to stop fighting the currents, and as quickly as that the river was tranquil again.
That was the first difficulty, to fight saidin while surrendering to saidar. The first difficulty, and the first key to what he had to do.

Can a channeler embrace and use the True Power and the One Power at the same time? *NM*

I wouldn't think so...

I don't think anyone would have a reason to try and channel both powers at once *NM*

The context of the conversation should've been the clue.

Good questions! I was just wondering if there are a male and female halves of the TP.

There definitely are not two half of the TP (btw, anyone else irritated at the name similarity?)

The name "True Power" is simply Shadow propaganda. *NM*

Yeah, I think it would probably destroy the body of the person attempting it.
