It's only a matter of habit.


what I am trying to figure out, though, is why people choose to not say the S word.

So far, the best answer seems to be that "the Dark One" is most frequently used in the books, so we go with that. Same goes with the Forsaken names.

Fanatic-Templar seems the odd-man-out as far as this goes. I wonder if he will start referring to the Forsaken by their AoL names
