Rahvin was surprised that Rand could Travel immediately after arriving in Caemlyn,

RJ said that Rahvin was surprised that Rand could Travel at all. He expected Rand to walk through all his traps.

Surely that's a clear sign that the Ashaman should have been able to Travel immediately from Dumai's Wells after the battle. And yet it is stated explicitly that they had to wait for a number of hours to learn the location first.

This is explained in TGS a little ... Rand weaves a gateway a short distance from himself, learns that location and travels directly to Far Madding. The trick is he had to weave the Gateway on the exact spot. The Asha'man had to release the weaves, then fight then go find the spot again? probably took less time to just learn a new spot in this instance.

Well that pretty clearly states that according to Rahvin, Rand should not know the ground in Caemlyn - 17/12/2009 10:27:18 AM 736 Views
