Does anyone know why LTT ( in Rand's head) keeps saying that no men who channeled before the cleansing of saidin can be trusted? Yes, Rand is mad and so is the voice in his head. But LTT has been been quite accurate in some of his assumptions/ warnings earlier.
It might just be guilt. LTT was indirectly responsible for the taint and the breaking afterall. The fact that he himself was under the taints influence when he killed his family is also probably a important part. He might feel that anything the tainted men do if they go mad would be partially his responsibility or something so he wants to take them out before anything happens.
I suppose it is possible that there is some hidden flaw left by the taint and the DO can do something or has some hold over even the Asha'man who are only slightly tainted but I don't think there is any proof of this.
