It seems to be the case that the DO can enjoy it very much, if his minions fail (we see e.g. SH smiling, when he tells Semirhage that she failed & was broken).

On the other hand, even Moridin thinks that the DO would e.g. be displeased, if the weather is fixed:
"The Great Lord would not be pleased. He had strained from his prison to touch the world enough to fix the seasons in place. He was impatient to touch the world more, to shatter the void that contained him, and he would not be pleased."

It's also said that the DO only didn't punish the loser Forsaken team after the Cleansing, because there are so few left. Or RJ and BS said that the DO really would want Rahvin and Sammael back. And Moridin objectively failed with some of his plots. So, I don't think that everything goes according to the plan and that should at least annoy the DO a bit.

And as Nae'blis and a person, who really wants a success of the Shadow, IMO Moridin should actually take the responsibility and quit the job in favor of Demandred, at least after those bad defeats. ;)
