the problem I have is that the Oaths are supposedly ingrained into the very being of the person who swears on the Oath Rod. If was as easy as what you are all describing to lie, then AS would be full of crap all the time.

I'm saying that an Oath on the Rod should make it impossible for an AS to even casually lie in the form of sarcasm, unless she is also saying true statements.

IMO the Oath is even more useless if an AS can just decide in her mind that her words aren't intended to be lies then she can say whatever the hell she wants. Intent alone does not make her words the truth.
