Killed by the Super Darkhound Pack and/or Slayer.
What a copout that would be.
I believe he won't play a crucial "Gollum-role" in the finale. After all, RJ said that "Fain is essentially his wild card, a character that is outside the structure of the work and can therefore act totally unpredictably." If Fain is outside of the structure, he can't be that crucial for TG.
I understand your logic, but I think you take it to the wrong direction. It could mean Fain tilts the balance somehow, yes, like Gollum. "can therefore act totally unpredictably" doesn't mean goes out like a chump, as Samuel L Jackson would say.

I like the theory very much but can't see Rand killing Moridin before TG. *NM*

I doubt Logain's role is to be the DR

But surely Moridin can sense him - at least, he will know that Rand lives. Otherwise, good theory *NM*
