I think the blade of light will be symbolic and not a sword.

As I mentioned, earlier, the prophecy that Min mentions about Rand(presumably) holding a blade of light potentially has another possibility besides Callandor. In the first book, Rand uses something which he refers to as "a blade of light" to cut Ishamael's connection to the Dark one. That is to say, the black wires that the male forsaken have. He uses the same technique again against Asmodean later, and refers to it by the term "sword of light" this time. The first reference is exactly the same as in the prophecy, and the second is very close.
I noted this, as well. In this case, the "blade of light" can be formed of love, hope, faith or any number of positive things and shaped into an attack against the Dark One.
The most important thing that stood out to me was that the black chord the Dark One used on the male Forsaken are not forged of the One Power or, presumably, the True Power, yet Rand's attack severed the Dark One's touch anyway.
I think the fact that he found a power within himself greater than the Dark One's touch is the key to the whole prophecy.
Perhaps it is intention that is needed to defeat the Dark One. When Lews Therin created his Seal, it wasn't out of faith, hope or love but out of anger and desperation. Perhaps these negative emotions fueled his weave in such a way that the Dark One could touch the flows and through them saidin?
"Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness."
