These two spent a significant amount of time together. How could Alanna not suspect Verin as BA? Could Alanna be BA as well? She does act rather oddly most of the time.


And few AS even admitted that the BA exists in the past. Besides that, we don't know it really, maybe Alanna even suspected Verin.

In any case, I would argue that Verin would definitely know, if Alanna were BA. But since Egwene doesn't mention Alanna - who Egwene had some contact with during her first time in the WT - in her first reading of Verin's notes, it seems unlikely that Alanna is BA.


Yet Verin tells Perrin to be careful of her in the TR. I think we're meant to be left wondering
