This explains why Lan's bond was cut. Moiraine is still captive there and will be rescued by Thom, Mat and Noel in ToM. Moiraine will likely be healed by Finn at some point. Otherwise, she'll live a happy rest of her life with Tom as a non-channeler.
Indeed. Moiraine may return as a burned out channeler to live out the rest of her days with Thom. It would be an interesting revelation.
If she was burned out, Flin may well be unable to Heal her.
I agree, and we have Setalle Anan are reinforcement for this. RJ basically passed her by for Healing.
Also, I think the burning of the gateway is just as good an explanation for the snapping of the bond as being burned out.
IMO it's the most likely opinion of all.
This is the part I have the most trouble with.
1)I know BS said a burned out channeler remains so when transmigrated, but this doesn't make much sense to me. When a soul is Reborn, the damage done to its channeling ability in a previous life is erased. This implies that as soon as the soul is free of the body, its channeling ability is restored.

I agree, and I think BS is wrong. Aginor definitely burned himself out in EOTW, and Lews Therin most likely did too. I don't buy the idea that dying while overdrawing preserves the link because we have multiple quotes to show that burning out occurs prior to death, and the link is ruined after you overdraw.
I fail to see why the same won't be the case with transmigration. And the fact that Brandon isn't somewhat sure of this points to it not being significant in the whole Lanfear mystery.
2)Unless Moiraine somehow stilled Lanfear (or maybe the Finn did, though I don't see this being possible), Lanfear must have gotten burned out, by your theory. But we have no idea if burning out can be Healed. That is a pretty major assumption.

It is, and we don't know what happened.
3)Even if Lanfear was indeed Healed, her current strength makes no sense at all. Siuan says she has barely a lick of her former power. The same is definitely not true of Lanfear. Cyndane is weaker, but still astonishingly strong.
Not necessarily. You may lose a certain amount of strength if you're Healed by the same sex. That means that if Siuan had a strength of 25 and lost 10, she would be on 15, and thus a weak Aes Sedai. Lanfear on the other hand would go from 100 to 90, and still be one of the strongest women in the world.
4)It is unlikely that any of the Forsaken women Healed her. Mesaana tells Demandred she is weaker. If she was the one who Healed her, this would hardly be a surprise. Plus, she cannot Heal. Semirhage likely doesn't know the weave, and almost certainly wouldn't Heal her old enemy. Graendal is ruled out. Moggy is too, both because she cannot Heal and also because she saw Cyndane's cour-sourva on Moridin when she was taken by Shaidar Haran.
I agree - we actually have a quote from one of the Forsaken that states that only Semirhage has the Healing Talent. While she may have done it under orders from Moridin, she would never have remained silent on the topic, especially from her own PoV.
A Yellow from the Rebel camp is possible, but that still leaves us with Cyndane's strength as an issue.
If a DF Yellow Healed her, I'd be very surprised. Neither Aran'gar nor Mesaana have any clue about Cyndane and both are tied up in Salidar and the Tower. The only possibility is that Moridin directly brought a Yellow somewhere to do the deed.
This explanation is neither simple not reasonable. Questions abound, from whether Lanfear would be burned out when transmigrated, to how she can still be so strong.
In fact, there are many questions surrounding the whole episode. It involves two channelers, angreal, a ter'angreal and a parallel dimension. It also includes the fact that we know she survived initially, and now has a new body and a lower strength. There are questions on many levels to be answered.

I think that since Moiraine was in another dimension, the Bond passed to the closest holder.
