I don't think Moiraine was stilled. Gher Send a noteboard - 01/12/2009 11:19:03 PM
I'm of the belief that Lanfear was stilled because Moiraine tore the angreal off. There's no reason to believe that falling through while channeling would sever or burn out a person. Rand came out of the Tear Doorway (Aelfinn?) channeling, so obviously the One Power is accessible in their world.

But I agree that Lanfear was probably severed/burned out and then healed by a woman, and therefore weaker. The transmitigation could have happened before or after her being Healed. But the theory that she visited the Eelfinn before and asked for beauty and power is an interesting one. Could be how or why she died.

And just wondering, why is there no "Who killed Lanfear?" debates? It's not quite as large of a selection of suspects, but still debatable. Slayer, Eelfinn, or Lanfear seem like the obvious choices.
