This has nothing to do with what RJ said. I was providing an example of a way to get Sanderson to talk about Asmodean without actually asking who killed him and getting a RAFO. I specifically said that a fan could "pretend to be uninformed". You know, pretend to be ignorant of Asmodean's inability to be resurrected by the DO or of anything RJ might have said or anything fans have discussed.
I think you choose a bad example then, because I doubt that BS - likely knowing the RJ answer I quoted - would let slip how and where Asmo died, thus revealing the reasons why Asmo can't be transmigrated (even if an informed fan convincingly pretends to be an uninformed reader).
If Sanderson quotes Jordan, it's usually from notes, not from the recordings of forum posters from his public appearances. I actually used the example I provided to get Sanderson to mention the b word when talking about a potential Asmodean rebirth.
But generally I agree with you that one should try to formulate creative questions!
