Well now that the initial shock of BLOODY SPLEEN RAND IS ON TOP OF DRAGONMOUNT SCREAMING TO HIMSELF has worn off, I can critic the scene better now. At the time, I was just too into the moment for anything to really destroy it. First off, the whole thing with the purpose of life just went too far. It was great until he said, "love changed everything." It really detracted from the scene. Don't get me wrong, when he was thinking about all his past lives and remebering hope, love and joy, it was pretty awesome, but singling love out like that was just overused and corny.
Secondly, I think he should have cried first in the whole laughter and tears thingamajig.

When he was teetering on the edge, it seemed that he would have achieved the Dark One's goal of destroying the pattern. Is that what Moridin has been pushing him towards?
