I don't think so. Gher Send a noteboard - 25/11/2009 04:46:26 PM
"At the end of time,
when the many become one,
the last storm shall gather its angry winds
to destroy a land already dying.
And at its center, the blind man shall stand
upon his own grave.
There he shall see again,
and weep for what has been wrought."

It could very well mean that the last storm shall gather to try to destroy a land already dying. Which Rand did. He gathered as much power as he could, with the intention of destroying the Pattern.

And weeping doesn't have to be bad. Rand did have to learn laughter and tears. He could weep for joy, or even for sorrow after seeing what he had become.

And if Ishy wanted to guide future events, he probably would have put the corrupted prophecy on the mainland, not on Seanchan. The Essanik Prophecies, if corrupted, seem to push the Seanchan to not trust in the Dragon, to lead them to believe that they would do better to control the Dragon Reborn.

But what I thought this post was about after reading the title and the first few paragraphs, what if the final Karaethon Prophecy is corrupted? What if Ishy inserted a passage calling on the Dragon Reborn to Break the world again, even to die? How better to set the stage for a conversion, than to inspire despair in the Light's Champion, and mistrust and hate in the people he's supposed to save? If you read your quotes from Brandon again, it almost sounds like the prophecies we're familiar with have been corrupted.

Interesting to think about, even if I don't think that Rand dying was something completely thought up by Ishy. I think the original untainted Prophecies had something to that effect.
