And the earlier chapters? Where Egwene is able to access a very small amount of saidar? And make fourtee weaves at once and juggle them around?
Then can we assume you can make the logical connection that if Egwene can channel saidar with these doses of forkroot, she can link as well?

could Egwene channel so quickly after drinking the forkroot? My guess, to keep all of this rational, would be that she built up a resistance to it over time. You do remember that Nynaeve passed out after drinking it for the first time, right?
Nynaeve had a major dose. Egwene was being given very weak tea that would reduce her channeling, but let her walk about just fine.
In this case, the dose was a little stronger, so she couldn't channel at all initially. But, when she finally did channel, several hours had passed. She'd spoken to Verin, read through her list of BA, met Meidani and also slept for some time.
she commented that forkroot was affecting her during the battle (and I think she did - her normal ability was still reduced), then theoretically, she could work around the forkroot block by just reaching for the source through someone else.
And it didn't seem like the forkroot affected how much she could draw from the others, even though she controlled the Circle.
So, all of this really implies, IMO, that forkroot can be overcome by linking (or using a Well). I suppose it's worth asking Sanderson, though.

There were wards on the door to get in (which Gateways kinda invalidate).
