So I don't think Moridin's connection was used at all, but the Dark One should have had the power to cut off Rand's connection to the True Power in order to save Semirhage, but It/He didn't bother hence BSanderson's statement that Semirhage's claim that the Dark One had forsaken her was said to be astute.

What will be the punishment for Moridin for allowing Rand to do what he did?
