She's a psycopathic tyrant, who has deluded herself into thinking that she is beyond question, beyond reproach, and that anyone who even looks at her wrong is a darkfriend, or at best a hated enemy.
Power corrupts, and Elaida is an extreme case of that corruption.
She believed it.

I agree. I think that Elaida truly believes that Egweene and the rebels are darkfriends for the mere reason that they are against her.
