I'm not avoiding anything, just pointing out how silly this post is

I ask again. Would you enjoy reading a scene where Moridin is completely ridiculed? Let's say his trousers get pulled off and Cadsuane takes her slipper off and spanks his naked bottom until his cheeks are nice and red.
Just answer the question. Would you enjoy that?
Just answer the question. Would you enjoy that?
Oh I see - is this supposed to be my 'favourite' Forsaken since all my others have died? Actually I wouldn't care, but I do think it's one of the worst questions I've ever been asked on the board.
I know why you avoid it. Your favourite Forsaken went out in a blaze of glory. Comparatively speaking at least, compared to Semirhage's humiliation.
So you're scared Demandred is going to get spanked too, or what is the real issue here? I think you really do find these people to be appealing and heroic, which is a major difference between us.
So now that her story arch has ended, it is easy for you to read about the other Forsaken coming to more humiliating ends. In fact, it is actually PREFERABLE for you to see that, since that makes Lanfear's end all the more spectacular.
My point is merely that all the thematic references and lectures about symbolism sound nice and grand, but they cannot paint over what really motivates us readers.
Emotional gratification! Or what do you think, "Fan of Lanfear"?

You're right, Shannow - this is an entirely new theme introduced by the author to strip the Forsaken of their greatness.
It reminds me of how the first of the thirteen was killed by a tree, and the second one burnt himself out and was killed later in the series by a darkfriend. Or how the strongest of all of them, Ishamael, was defeated by an untrained channeler three times and finally killed. Or how Be'lal was balefired by a much weaker channeler. Or how Rahvin was backstabbed by a wilder, and Sammael eaten by mashadar. Or how Mesaana is tortured and raped by Shadar Haran, and Moghedien defeated by an untrained girl twice and then mindtrapped. Or how every Forsaken is on their knees to Shadar Haran, or treated like dung by the Nae'blis, or soundly defeated at the cleansing of saidin, or how none of them can even get the simplest thing right.
Now that you mention it, Lanfear's scene was pretty cool, but I guess it was convenient to forget that she's reborn, mindtrapped, weaker and ridiculed, and pretty much the laughing stock to compete with Moghedien, who can only rant about how much she hates Lews Therin and Ilyena. Not only that, but Moiraine was the one who undermined her, not some super-powerful channeler with great skill.
Did Semirhage die from the spanking? I don't recall so. It seems she actually got the domination band onto Rand and took him beyond pain he knew was possible before being balefired. That's action-packed stuff if you ask me, and considering you're raising points about 'blazes of glory'.
So yes, I find it rather unintelligent to think that Semirhage's spanking is a new and scandalous tactic to denegrate the Forsaken, because it started in BOOK 1. It's been a downward slope since then, and every Forsaken will die like that. You're scandalized that Demandred might end up like that, but I've been saying for years that he won't go down in an epic battle with the Dragon Reborn. The bigger the Forsaken, the more humiliating their deaths are, almost without exception. The weak ones hide away and even they are being beaten up.
Would I be surprised if Moridin was spanked and put in pigtails... no. And not irritated either. But neither am I ignoring the reasons for Semirhage's humiliation and can extrapolate that Moridin won't die like that.
