The reply about Rand's sword was frustrating, too, since it seems to conflict with what others have reported, "it's a logical conclusion that it is Justice". (From TMJ's report) That doesn't necessarily say it is Justice, but it sure is a misleading reply, at the very least.

Others reported the same in other words, that Brandon had said he found the speculation about it being Justice a valid theory.

People who are convinced it is Justice are putting words in his mouth since the book came out. It's become "he has all but confirmed it" when not flatty "he has confirmed it".

He said much the same thing way about people who have LTT's sword theories.

He had done the same thing last summer at the Q&A I attended. People said Mat and Perrin would meet in TGS and he answered the same way as he does for the sword, something along the lines of "I'll just say it's a logical assumption, they are fairly close to one another, and Galad is too, by the end of KOD".

By the time the book came out, people were swearing Brandon had said at that and other signings that Perrin and Mat meet in TGS. We know what happened to that "logical theory".

He doesn't intend to reveal the origin of the sword before we RAFO.
