Doesn't that make his reaction to Elaida discovering Rand's heron mraked sword in The Eye of the World somewhat peculiar?
With surprise that Gawyn is a blademaster after killing the head Warder in the tower revolt and at his level of skill.
I thought it mentioned that Bryne was good with a blade, but not a Blademaster in TGS, somewhere around the time he was talking to Gawyn about this.
Also, I think she's just noticing the added agility/senses from the bond on someone that was already good with the sword. I doubt its a full implication that he and Lan could go round for round now, just an added dimension to how he moves MORE like a Warder.

I think the bond gives them hightened senses, along with extra stamina, agility, etc.
