What use is it to a forsaken? It's the weakest country in the Westlands. Even after gaining some control over it with the help of Mat's army what could Demandred get out of it that's useful to the shadow?

The only thing I can think of is raids on Andor but would that matter that much to Elayne when the Last Battle is at her doorstep and bubbles of evil and rotting food do 1000 times more harm than some raids?

If the goal is to prevent that Rand unites all the Westlands, also Murandy is important. It's not that small, and its location in the heart of the Westlands might be strategically interesting. And I said that Demandred certainly also had other activities before, most likely the Dragonsworn.

But I agree, like with the debate about Mesaana's identity, all theories on Demandred's activities seem to have certain problems.
