We see that Aginor and Balthamel both aged quite a bit being near the surface of the bore. I would think that they still age normally, but gain immortality by getting new bodies if they die, as we've seen numerous times.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
