BTW, she obviously didn't know about Verin's betrayal until Egwene started cleansing the rebels. It's more likely that one of the rebel BA warned Alviarin and it was her who arranged the escape. One day can be a plenty of time!
I thought the BA immediately fled after the Seanchan attack. But I just read it again and they fled shortly before Egwene was raised and purged the Rebels.
However, it's at least said that none among the BA was captured by the Seanchan. I think it's very likely that Mesaana knew about the raid before and warned them.
I'm still intrigued by Graendal's comment in the prologue that it actually doesn't matter if Egwene or Elaida wins the WT conflict. I wonder what Mesaana's next step will be.
