Am I the only one who is pissed off about how that turned out? Everything about the ending of this plot line feels wrong: from the question mark regarding the circumstance of the happening, through the off-hand way Tam speaks of it, to Rand's too-numb response to the news.
I know, I know, it's a minor detail, not nearly as significant as some of the other stuff that happened in the book, but still! After all this time, don't we deserve a sight to the touching Galad –Morgase reunion? Or at least at Faile's dumbstruck expression?
In my opinion, it would have been better leave this part out completely, or better yet, invest 10 pages and get it right.
