It's hard to call them "bubbles" at this point, because the water is truly broiling. This was just another example of how the fabric of the Pattern is unraveling. The Wheel is losing its power as the Dark One's hold strengthens.

I thought the Hinderstrap scenario was a little ridiculous, IMO, and totally unnecessary and very un-Jordan like.
