I can accept thousand mindless zombies dead as a cost for killing Graendal, as I can accept the death of a few Aes Sedai to keep Travelling from the Seanchan.

The true atrocity was the manner in which Rand killed all those zombies. It was insane to destabilize the Pattern in this fashion at this juncture where the DO is already weakening it.


As balefire is the only way to be sure a foresaken is killed, using it wasn't an atrocity, it was a necessity.

Both the actions of Rand and Egwene were necessary.
All good things come to those who wait.
