Strength IS a concern to them.

They only care about if someone has Forsaken strength. If someone is weak they dismiss them immediately, which is why Be'lal died. If someone is very strong they immediately get their backs up, like Graendal's reaction to Someryn and Cyndane. They don't change their attitudes towards channelers based on strength - they care about other things. Mesaana is probably very strong but Graendal thinks she's second rate because she never performs huge atrocities in the War of Power.

Graendal was concerned that she would not wish to confront Rand's power if Rahvin and Ishamael fell to him.

By all accounts, Rahvin was not as skilled as Graendal, but his sheer power made her consider him a dangerous enemy.

Except that the focus of her comment is most probably Ishamael, and not Rahvin. Ishamael is the strongest of them all, and if he fell, what chance would she have? She's right you know, no one can face the Dragon Reborn without dying.

Jordan felt that Aginor could undoubtedly dispose of Balthamel if he so wished. Aginor has a weak personality, and is not very good in confrontational situations. So that alone says that his strength advantage over Balthamel must be signficant.

That depends on what you think of the Eye of the World - is it merely a reservoir of saidin, or a massive sa'angreal? Rand levelled one of the biggest Shadowspawn armies ever seen in the series with the Eye.

Moghedien never dared confront Lanfear, due to Lanfear's vastly superior STRENGTH.

Yes, that is undoubtedly a statement of strength, but I have always said that Moghedien is the only Forsaken who has greatly diminished strength compared to the others. It explains why she is scorned by them, and why she doesn't dare show up at their meetings, but rather watches from a distance.

Strength is a very important factor. Not the only one, but a very important one.

It only determines who is Forsaken strength and able to compete on their level. For any Forsaken to soundly crush another one, they would need a great gap in strength, which is probably not present. They are all among the strongest possible channelers in their respective sexes and can defend themselves.

I honestly don't believe Semirhage would be so respected if she was barely above Moghedien in strength, as you suggest. And especially not if there was such a huge gap between her and Lanfear.

Except that Semirhage is not respected - she's feared because she's taken pain to a new dimension. It's always mentioned alongside her reputation. Lews Therin is afraid of her, and he's definitely stronger in the Power. She's evil even compared to the Forsaken, which is saying something. I don't think she's just above Moghedien in strength. I'm just saying that her reputation as the Lady of Pain has nothing to do with her strength in the Power. Chesmal is also feared among Liandrin's thirteen because she knows death weaves and enjoys sadism, and she's certainly not the strongest.

I think Semirhage was second only to Lanfear, and equal to Cyndane and Alivia. And that Graendal is of average female Forsaken strength. But Graendal's tactical advantage, is her Compulsion Talent. That makes her more dangerous than someone like Mesaana, who is on the same strength level as she is.

Well I can't dispute that Semirhage is second, but I don't think your evidence is any stronger than other evidence I've seen. I personally think there's better evidence for Graendal being stronger.
