Here's my analogy, and why I can't believe no one noticed that saidin was cleaned.
If you've been drinking swamp water your whole life and someone hands you a bottle of crystal clear, ice cold water your going to notice what's different, right? It's clean.
Now if your drinking Coke, and someone slips in a Pepsi that's different, but you can't really explain what's different.
I was just trying to think what Sanderson meant by his statement, and that's the best I came up with...
