Although TG will decide the fate of the world, nothing is to say that the world's fate won't be put in jeopardy again in future ages (the outriggers would presumably deal with another time in which that happens), so I think the prophecy could well refer to a time after TG.

I agree with this. It's more than likely that post TG, the state of the world as we currently know it will have vastly changed. It's very possible, for example, that the Seanchan will renew hostilities with, well, pretty much everybody post TG. The White Tower and the Black Tower will likely have to sort out an agreement between themselves. Will the Aiel return the The Waste? What of Seanchan, across the Aryth Ocean?
The world will be a very volatile place post TG, so I think it's fair to say that the world will not be done with battle.
