What would be the point at this juncture in the story? I think not. She's toast. *NM* everynametaken Send a noteboard - 10/11/2009 04:54:51 AM
I think everyone needs to consider the possibility that Semirhage might be resurrected later in the series. Yes, I know she was killed by balefire, but RJ made it clear that even those killed by balefire can be resurrected, but only if the DO is paying close attention due to the fact he would have to go and rescue the soul *prior* to the balefire event.

Considering the fact that Rand used the True Power and not the One Power, we have to admit that there is a VERY good chance the Dark One was completely aware of what was going on when Rand balefired Semirhage. If the DO wanted to, he could have saved Semirhage's soul. Of course, he might not have wanted to save Semirhage...or maybe he just wanted to teach her a lesson.

The question is, can he save her? And if he can, will he?

I'm thinking he probably won't. The series needs some finality and I think we've seen the last of Semirhage, but I have to admit it is possible we see her again.

But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
