I think that the DO is playing with his Chosen. In LOC ch 6 Graendal in her POV believes that the DO has promised that she will be Naeblis. Den has already been offered the title in the Prologue. So 2 chosen have 'Naeblis' dangled in front of them early in LOC.

I also think that Dem is either in the Blight with an army of trollocs and working with proxies at the BT etc or he is Galgan the Seanchan general.
