The other characters seemed to be their usual selves. I enjoyed everyone's storyline, even Mat's for a change. I was glad Elayne wasn't really included in this book, but that's my own bias towards her character.
I enjoy Egwene's storylines, no matter how despicable I find her character, and was not happy with her exclusion from WH. I might appreciate that she is not screwing around with anyone, but don't see how ignoring her storyline makes the whole better. It is all of a piece, and seeking the removal of one part is like taking an ingredient from a recipe because it makes the dish ugly. We have certain PoVs because there is information in there that, however unfortunately obtained, puts other parts in perspective.
