So, guess what? When they died and would normally have been reborn with clean slates, Rand destroyed that option for them. There is no Rebirth or any more lives for them in the Pattern.
This wasn't about death or killing - this was annihilation of a large number of souls. The body dies, but the soul is eternal - and he burned them away from the universe forever.
