Basically what Sidious said beetnemesis Send a noteboard - 31/10/2009 04:51:52 PM
I don't think it was channeling at all. Rand description of touching the True Power was... intense.

This was undoubtedly ta'veren-related. But... somehow darker. I've said in other threads that Dark Halo Rand is terrifying to me, especially since he implies that he's able to force the Pattern to his whim (The whole "Do you believe, if I willed it, the Pattern would reach out and simply... stop your heart?" thing).

I think this was Rand trying to exert his ta'veren-ness, and Tuon using every ounce of determination in her body to resist it.

I'm actually kind of surprised she was able to. Thus far, the only people who've really been able to RESIST the tug of ta'veren were people who knew what was happening. Like with Perrin going home to the Two Rivers. You usually need to realize Fate is dicking with you if you want to resist it.

Tuon doesn't believe in ta'veren, though, so she did it through sheer strength of will. Impressive.
I amuse myself.

It's the first time we've had someone else's PoV when ta'veren was trying to work. *NM* - 31/10/2009 09:39:38 PM 275 Views
