Yeah, Laras crossed my mind too. Given that her helping Siuan escape helped further chaos at the time, she probably would be at least a candidate. Then again, we often see those with disguises that are power wrought don't like to be touched as it can mess with the image. Laras has never kept her distance from anyone. I'll go with unlikely, but plausible.
As for testing the novices and accepted, Nicola is the only one I saw mentioned as being tested, and that was before the Seanchan raid. Made me wonder why they thought about testing novices then but don't seem to think of it later??? Seems odd. I also seem to remember Alviarin (I think it was her) wondering if she wasn't hiding as an accepted or novice at one point.
