Graendal had no idea that Rand knew where she was. He sent down that courtier on false pretenses, knowing that Graendal would rip the knowledge out of him.

Read my theory again. Graendal lured Rand to Natrin's Barrow. That wasn't even her lair.
Even if Graendal had other channelers in the fort with her, no one else has that level of Compulsion skill.

And precisely why is this an argument against what I'm saying?
True, maybe Rand killed Mogheiden through some twist of fate, but it seems pretty likely that Graendal died.

None of the Forsaken died from that Balefire.

I can't see how Graendal would have predicted that Rand would balefire a whole palace - 29/10/2009 05:06:51 PM 686 Views
And why should Graendal not be privy to their plans? Semi was the pawn. *NM* - 29/10/2009 05:52:11 PM 297 Views
because Rand decided right at that moment *NM* - 29/10/2009 05:55:30 PM 309 Views
Nope. The plan had been building. He has obviously been giving thought to what to do to defeat her. *NM* - 29/10/2009 06:11:45 PM 296 Views

I think it was Moghedien that was balefired in Natrin's Barrow fortress/palace, not Graendal. - 30/10/2009 02:56:53 AM 664 Views
Interesting idea. Definitely possible. *NM* - 30/10/2009 03:06:04 AM 360 Views
