Remember, this was Graendal's fortress. What are the odds that

1. Graendal would allow Mogheidan to hang out in her palace

2. Graendal would allow Mogheidan to interrogate and Compel someone who may have vital information

and 3. Graendal would allow 1&2 while she was not there?

In order for Graendal to be alive and Mogheidan dead, all three of those would have to be true. MAYBE #1 could be true, since Mogheidan is in heavy disfavor and Graendal was/is on track to being Moridin's Vice-Nae'blis.

But the others? The Forsaken are HUGE on information control, and knowing more than their enemies and allies. Moggy might be in disfavor, but she's still a Forsaken. Would Graendal allow Moggy to interrogate a prisoner by herself, giving Moggy the information instead of herself?

And, along those same lines, how could Graendal ever trust Moghedien enough to leave her alone in that palace?

The only way Graendal could be alive is if she knew that Rand was planning on Ultra Balefiring the entire castle, and had set Moggy up to take a fall. Rand was very secretive (unlike with Rahvin) and very random (unlike with Sammael).

Graendal MAY be alive, but it's going to take a huge plot twist to make it so.
I amuse myself.

I can't see how Graendal would have predicted that Rand would balefire a whole palace - 29/10/2009 05:06:51 PM 595 Views
And why should Graendal not be privy to their plans? Semi was the pawn. *NM* - 29/10/2009 05:52:11 PM 251 Views
because Rand decided right at that moment *NM* - 29/10/2009 05:55:30 PM 268 Views
Nope. The plan had been building. He has obviously been giving thought to what to do to defeat her. *NM* - 29/10/2009 06:11:45 PM 250 Views

I think it was Moghedien that was balefired in Natrin's Barrow fortress/palace, not Graendal. - 30/10/2009 02:56:53 AM 569 Views
Interesting idea. Definitely possible. *NM* - 30/10/2009 03:06:04 AM 282 Views
