I go into it a bit in my review (linked).
But, it's a bit bloated - but not as bad as many of the books. Mostly, the inclusion of Perrin and Mat is pretty much useless and wastes space - especially the chapter of Mat in smalltownfullofcrazyfolk - that was particularly bad. I understand that fans would have gone ballistic if Mat and Perrin were completely absent, but their inclusion doesn't add to the thematic goals of the book and makes a long book longer.
The infodumps at the beginning of the book are annoying, but I'd say they are classic Jordan - so I believe this is an example of Sanderson honoring Jordan's style since I don't recall it from his other writing.

I think first chapters are meant to refamiliarize the reader with the story, not to be action fests. *NM*

A few chapters felt unneccessary, but it was mostly fine.
