Mat's dialogue was probably the most different and obvious of BS's writing, in my opinion. Though I don't think that this is necessarily a bad thing. I feel like Mat had taken on a very brooding tone in the previous few books, and to see him rowdy again like in the initial few books was nice.
Gawyn didn't really bother me, I must admit. I can understand why people didn't like him, but I really didn't have any complaints. I'm glad to just get closure on him.
Which is how I felt about the 10 for so small plotlines that were closed in this book, that never really added anything in my opinion.
Egwene's total transformation during this book was amazing to read. I loved it. Very dramatic and well-written.
Rand's story too. Really great through and through. I'm convinced that BS is going to do a great job with the rest of the story.
I'm guess that the Black Tower, Mat, Elayne, and perhaps Perrin will be the focal points of ToM. I look forward to it.
