5) Not quite sure of the point of the Mat scenes tbh - yeah, the DO touches the world yadda yadda, strange things happen etc etc, we get it. Why waste several chapters on it?
7) Where's Gawyn gone? Off to kill Rand? or hanging around TV like a lovesick uppt. Though to be fair Egwene hasn;t exactly treated him well.
Perrin/Galad/Morgase off screen - bit annoyed with that, does that mean we don't see it onscreen then?

We could have had 2 or 3 Mat chapters instead of 4 or 5. The 2 or 3 would detail his plans for the cannons and have Verin show up.
But I think instead of 2 or 3 it should have been 10 and done the Moiraine rescue
. The rescue seems imminent to me. Rand saw Mat in Caemlyn when he was still in Ebou Dar. 6 days after that he arrives at Dragonmount. That means in 4 days Mat will read Verin's letter and (most likely) head to ToG.7) Gawyn will probably stick around TV, and Egwene will get over her anger.
I'm fairly sure we'll see it all happen on screen, until Perrin's timeline shows Nynaeve (or whoever it was) showing up. We better... On the other hand... why couldn't we just have gotten that already instead of the pointless Perrin chapters we got? There must have been a lot that happened.
