I seriously doubt it Isaac Send a noteboard - 28/10/2009 04:15:36 AM
She was never going to have some mighty OP duel with Rand, we already knew that. For her to guess Rand, who doesn't kill women, would decide to Balefire the whole place with the Choedan Kal goes way beyond strategic foresight. She dead. Gone. I'm surprised she stayed, instead of running, but I can't see her somehow jumping all those mental hoops to realize Rand would resort to what he did and how he did it, and then guess all of that and prep accordingly. No, she stuck around because she could flee at any moment, knew it, and wanted to see what she could do otherwise. Rand's attack took her totally off guard I think, that was the point. From a plot POV, we know she's dead just from the comment about sitting down to play a game with someone and punching them in the face instead.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
